GTT has selected DSEC to collaborate on the GTT Support Services related to the Membrane Cargo Containment System (CCS) of the Shell – operated Prelude FLNG facility. This agreement associating GTT and DSEC’s capabilities for maintenance and related services will bring the best expertise to the client. Moreover, DSEC is already recognised for its ability to implement CHS (Cargo Handling System) systems and support shipyards as a GTT qualified licensee for CCS. Prelude is located 475km North-North East of Broome in Western Australia where, once operating, it will produce 5.3 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of liquids: 3.6 mtpa of LNG, 1.3 mtpa of condensate and 0.4 mtpa of liquefied petroleum gas. DSEC, leading company in the sectors of engineering, quality management, procurement and shipyard development & operation for shipbuilding and offshore plant industries has signed the contract for the supply of hydraulic tensioner with JSC “FEP “Zvezda”. The ceremony for contract was held in Vladivostok on 24th August 2018. Hydraulic Tensioner will be installed in the premises of Zvezda Shipbuilding Complex and moor “Floating Transfer Dock” for the purpose of loading out vessels that are built on “LCBA” (Land-Based Construction Area) and then transferred to Floating Transfer Dock for her launching. The scope of work includes design, manufacture, and commissioning total two(2) sets of Hydraulic Tensioners with length 3.6 m, width 1.8 m, and height 1.6 m. DSEC had entered into a consulting contract for the development of Shipbuilding Complex “Zvezda” (“ZSC”) in December 2017 to advise on the construction of dry dock, quay and shops in Stage 2.Meanwhile, based on ZSC’s high regard to DSEC’s wealth of experiences with engineering, quality management, and material procurement services for overseas shipyards, DSEC has been offering technical cooperation on wide-ranging parts related to the development of ZSC, procurement for equipment and facilities, and review of shop’s layout and production process. The contract for supply of hydraulic tensioners is the first fruit of such cooperation. In addition, As DSEC has supplied products from competent equipment manufacturers in Korea to overseas shipyards in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East, it plans to proudly undertake the role of building the bridge between ZSC and Korean equipment manufacturers.
